Alabama has been on another level these past few weeks when it comes to adding to its defense in 2025, and on Sunday, it added another linebacker to its class.
According to Hayes Fawcett from On3.com, linebacker Luke Metz has committed to Alabama. Metz chose Alabama over Ole Miss, LSU, and Michigan.
Metz is 6’3, 220 pounds, and is from Buford, Georgia. His 247sports.com profile has him as a three-star, the 60th-best linebacker, and the 425th-best overall player in the class of 2025.

Alabama has added three huge linebackers to the 2025 class over the past few weeks. Darrell Johnson, one of the best athletes in the 2025 class who can play both running back and linebacker, was added, and Abduall Sanders Jr. was also added.
Say what you want about the Alabama football team after Nick Saban retired two months ago, but Kalen DeBoer has come in and held his own when it comes to recruiting.
Many questioned if DeBoer could come into the SEC and recruit, and he has proven many doubters wrong. Grabbing a player that teams like LSU and Ole Miss are in on is a considerable get for the Crimson Tide, and there should be more good things to come.
