Watch: Chelsea player in tears at the end of season awards at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea had their end of season awards at Stamford Bridge last night, and it saw one player in tears on the podium.

It wasn’t the winner of two awards, Cole Palmer, who was all smiles at the event. But it was one player who is now playing his last ever few games for the club, and it’s clearly as sad an occasion for him as it is for us fans.

Thiago Silva is leaving Chelsea at the end of the season as a free agent after spending the last four years at the club. He’s become a real cult hero amongst the fans, and many would even label him another Chelsea club legend – I’d not even argue against that.

Last night he was at the awards and was seen in tears up on the podium, as shown in the video below…

You can feel his pain here, and that final game against Bournemouth at The Bridge is going to sting hard.
