Manchester City youngster Tommy Doyle seems in limbo as to where he will play his football next season. As it stands there are questions as to where Doyle will play his football this season.

Doyle wasn’t included in Manchester City’s touring party to Japan and Korea. That decision would indicate his future lies elsewhere, rather than at the Etihad this season.

There have been links to several clubs with a move for the young midfielder’s services. Alan Nixon on his Patreon channel reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers were interested in Doyle. The Premier League side hasn’t made a concrete move for the midfielder.

City’s young midfielder has also spoken of a desire to play Premier League football this upcoming season. Doyle was a key part of the Blades squad that secured promotion last season. He now wants to test himself in the Premier League.

Due to the financial situation at Sheffield United, a loan move may be the only possibility for Doyle to return to the club. Their manager Paul Heckingbottom recently spoke to BBC Sheffield about the club’s issues financially. He said the club can only sign players on free transfers or loan deals as they return to the Premier League.

Another loan to the Blades may be the move for Tommy Doyle to get his first taste of Premier League football.

After being a part of England’s under-21 European Championship success in the summer. Doyle may get the Premier League opportunity he craves for next season.
